2026 Cornea Society Fellows Educational Summit
We were honored to host the 2026 Cornea Society Fellows Educational Summit at our Nashville, Tennessee, office on Saturday, September 26. The event brought together 48 cornea fellows from across the United States for a day of hands-on education and surgical training. Fellows gained practical experience with a variety of techniques for performing DSAEK and DMEK procedures, as well as advanced suturing techniques for intraocular lenses, iris defects, and corneal trauma.
The educational sessions were led by a distinguished group of cornea experts, who provided valuable instruction and guidance throughout the day. Fellows also had the opportunity to explore and practice techniques using a variety of surgical inserters and instrumentation. Hands-on education like this is an important part of preparing fellows for the transition to independent clinical practice.
The skills and techniques they developed during the summit will help support them as they begin their careers and provide care to patients in communities across the country. We are proud to support opportunities that advance ophthalmic education and help equip the next generation of corneal surgeons with the knowledge and skills they need to make a difference in the lives of their patients.

It was inspiring to see our facility transformed into collaborative wet lab spaces where fellows could learn, practice, and connect with colleagues from across the country.
We are grateful to the Cornea Society for the opportunity to host such an impactful educational event and proud to have partnered with our incredible co-hosts, Eversight and Lions World Vision Institute, to make the experience possible.
